Mrs Bisi Adewoye

Our dear pastor Adenuga your demise came as a rude shock, I still find it hard to come to terms with it. You lived a full life despite somewhat short but very impactful. Your kindness, simplicity and reverence for God is example to all, you taught the word with simplicity. We take solace in God because we know you are in a much more better place. (Deuteronomy 33:27a - The eternal God will be thy refuge and underneath shall his everlasting arms be. May God keep sister Nike and the children in his loving embrace till we meet at the master's feet. Amen. Mrs Bisi Adewoye

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Toyin as I didn’t know he was ill until we spoke a few weeks prior to his demise. As we grieve your passing, we take solace in the fact that you have returned to your maker and that your legacy will continue to inspire and motivate us in our personal and professional journeys. It is indeed fortunate that our paths crossed in Shell and later when you were at SAPETRO. My thoughts and prayers are with your dear family.

This is a great loss to humanity and to His church here on earth. My journey of life cannot be told without mentioning the contributions of Adenuga family and in particular, Engr., Pastor Toyin Adenuga. As a stranded youth corp member in Portharcourt Rivers State, he took me in to live with his family and together with his wife they secured for me a place of primary assignment. They were also giving me regular stipend to compliment whatever am being paid from both the place of primary assignment and the NYSC. Such is the large heart of a man after God. ‘Akino’ is the name you fondly called me, you will forever be in my heart. My wife and children (who shared same names with yours as a result of influence) will never forget you. We are however confident of one thing, you are with our Lord Jesus Christ and we shall yet see you again on the Resurrection morning!!! Rest in the power of God Uncle Toyin!!!

TOYIN, I remember you as : Talented project leader. Open-minded in resolving issues. Yearning to out-perform the competition. Inspiring leader. Negotiator per excellence. You fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith ( Culled from 2 Timothy 4:7). You now rest in peace. Cyril Eziefule Ekpe

Oga Toyin, as I used to call him, was my boss at SNG, he recruited me into the role at the time. And he guided me until I settled into the role. He was one of the most diligent commercial professionals I ever worked with, he never missed an opportunity to derive value for the company. We remained close and he became my mentor until his passing. I am still in shock writing this, we spoke sometime in April, I had put his name forward as my referee for a new role I took, so I called to let him know about it and in his usual diligent self, he had already completed the reference form without even wasting anytime. He told me "James, I am out the country, you all these election wahala, I will call you when I return, you must wash this one" we both laughed and I said please let me know when you are back. Little did I know that was the last time we would speak. Rest in the bossom of the Lord, sir.

Even in death, you continue to teach great values and create new standards and heights for the next generation to aim for. What a gift to humanity that keeps on giving. Adieu

Toyin was my first boss (SPDC 2001 - 2004), I subsequently worked with others from all over the world in various organisations. But he visibly stands out any time I reflect. He was truthful, hardworking, meticulous and professional in all aspect of whatever he did. News of his demise came as a big shock, difficult for me to come to terms with as I still feel Toyin is around mentoring .... as I have always felt in the last 23 years. Good day Toyin, God will keep your loved ones strong especially during this period.

Dear pastor, mentor, teacher, leader, father and a friend indeed your demise is a shock to me and had left a deep sence of thoughts, your words of advice as a father was a major builder of my life today. Your simplicity shaped my attitude in humility, your benevolence is immeasurable, I could vividly remember how you distributed shirts to us as youths covering our shame when we had notting, you where a part of the plan to help us with stipend while we went through University's tussle and that was a great relief and encouragement to most of us. Today It gladdens my heart that your encouragements where fruitful as I can say boldly that we all are graduate's doing well in various fields here in Nigeria and around the globe. As a mentor you groomed me in sound Engineering and as a chior you made sure we lacked Notting it takes to worship our God; this to an extent you imported the best kind of equipments we needed, you gave me an opportunity to play an electrical drum set, Indeed I will forever miss you. As a teacher you made sure we had adequate knowledge to go through life by way of organizing seminars and workshops on various skills which shaped us. I met you as a deacon in Christ chapel until God gave you a greater calling as a pastor which was d apex of it all. Called by grace, I saw the gentle life of Christ in you as you gave ur all in love. Your seeds are still multiplying while you rest with the king your rewarder. My prayer is that the comforter will comfort your family and well wishers you've left behind till we meet on a bright morning with our king Amen.
